CRAFTON
UNITED
We are a congregation that strives to worship and serve Jesus Christ as we serve other people. We hope that you will want to become a part of our faith community.

United Presbyterian Church was born in October 1966 as the result of the merger
of the former Bradford Avenue United Presbyterian Church (at the site of our
current church) and the First Presbyterian Church of Crafton (at the site of

What We
Believe
As part
of the Presbyterian Church (USA), we joyfully affirm our belief that Jesus
Christ is Lord. We believe that God is
the Creator, who continues to guide history.
And we believe that God calls men and women of all ages and races to
gather together, empowered by the Holy Spirit, to carry the Good News to all
people through what we say and do.
We look
to the Bible as the chief way that we have of coming to understand who God is
and what God wants for our lives. We
believe that the sacraments of baptism and communion have been given to us by
Jesus as special ways of celebrating Gods love toward us.
We
believe that the bad news is that in some way we all fall short of what God
expects from us. But the Good News is
that God reaches out to us, despite our unworthiness, and welcomes us into
Gods family. As Presbyterians, we
believe that the proper way to respond to that wonderful gift of Gods love is
by living lives of thankfulness.
