Marjean Kimble

Marjean Kimble has been a member of our church since 1963.  A resident of Ingram, she has lived in the same house for her entire life.

From 1954 until 1973, Marjean worked at PNC Bank.  For many years she was also very involved in taking care of her mother.

Marjean is an active member of our church’s Presbyterian Women organization.  And she is a regular participant in our C.A.M.P. senior program.

Her family includes a mother-in-law (Margaret May), a brother (Bob Morton, who is married to Clary Stewart’s sister), a daughter (Gloria Wertz); a son-in-law (Robert Wertz); and a granddaughter (Sydney Ann Wertz).

Marjean met her husband Brooke at a bus stop.  But the relationship didn’t get off to a great start at first. He ended up standing her up on their first date.  They were supposed to go to a movie, but he forgot about it because he had made a date with another girl!

Marjean’s favorite hymn is “I Cannot Tell,” which is set to the tune of “Danny Boy,” which was her and her husband’s favorite song.

Marjean enjoys playing cards, particularly 500.  She says that she used to be really shy, but now is a people person and likes to joke around with folks.
