MEMBER OF THE MONTH – CATHY NELSON

Cathy Nelson, a resident of Crafton, has been a member of our church since 1978.

Over the years Cathy has participated in the life of the church by being a junior high youth group leader, Sunday School teacher, deacon (including service as moderator of the deacons), elder, clerk of session for 15 of the last 16 years, pastor nominating committee co-chair, nominating committee chair, and Christian education commission chair. Also, Cathy currently serves on the Committee on Ministry of Pittsburgh Presbytery.

Cathy is employed by DDI, where she works as a Marketing Consultant, specializing in events marketing.

Cathy says that “How Great Thou Art” is her favorite hymn. And one of her favorite Bible verses is Romans 12:12 – “Rejoice in your hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.”
