Carl and Miriam Erickson

Carl and Miriam are residents of Crafton, having lived in the same house for the past 53 years.  They have been members of our present congregation ever since it was organized as a result of the merger in 1966.  Previously they had been members of the First Presbyterian Church of Crafton.

Miriam worked as a librarian in Sheridan.  Carl began his working career at Mellon Institute, and then spent the next 35 years doing various job at the gas company.  They have both now been retired for 20 years.

Within the church, Miriam has taught Sunday school, and Carl was on the church’s audit committee for three years.

Carl and Miriam have three children, nine grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Their favorite hymn is “Open My Eyes, That I May See,” and their favorite Bible passage is the 23rd Psalm.

As a hobby, Miriam enjoys making greeting cards, and Carl likes fishing and gardening.  Although they no longer have any pets, they love dogs.
