Member of the Month

Liz Caine

 

 

Although born in New York, Liz Caine has been a resident of Crafton since the 1950s.  Over the years she worked as a stenographer at Bell Telephone, secretary at our church, and also at the Crafton Public Library.

 

Liz has been an active member of the church over the years by serving as the music librarian for the choir, president of the Women’s Association, circle leader, and prayer chain leader.  Liz has also helped with the homeless shelter meals, the World Day of Prayer service, and Vacation Bible School.

 

Liz has two daughters and a son – Martha, Laura, and Kenneth.  They are all married.  Liz has 7 grandchildren.

 

Liz’s favorite hymn is “How Great Thou Art.”  Her favorite Bible verse is Psalm 34:3.

 

In her spare time, Liz enjoys knitting, embroidery, swimming, sewing, and classical music.  Liz has traveled to Sweden, Holland, and England.

 

Liz has volunteered over the years at Allegheny General Hospital.  She is a former president of the Junior Civic Club.  She is a member of the ICTUS community choir.  And she is a member of the Religious Council in Linwood Park, Ohio, where she spends much of the summer.
